As an internationally rewarded artist, Jiashan Lang is on a mission to educate people on the importance of preserving and promoting Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage. Jiashan’s inspiration comes from Chinese history and folklore, and she uses rice dough as her medium to create figurines. Her technique involves coloring the dough and then sculpting it into the form desired so that no painting is required.
